The Internal Quality Assurance Cells (IQAC) of Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science and Technology, Ajmal Law College, Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education and Haji Ajmal Ali College jointly organized a two-day hands-on offline workshop on September 19 20, 2026, at Nazir Ajmal Memorial Hall, Nazir Ajmal Memorial College of Education, Hojai, Assam. Serving as the inaugural component of a broader 32-day hybrid Faculty Development Programme (FDP), the event focused on the “Integration of Generative AI, Interactive e Content and Advanced Technologies in Higher Education” to align academic practices with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The programme was designed to empower educators with practical AI tools, interactive content development skills and modern pedagogical strategies.
The technical sessions were led by chief resource person Prof. K. Srinivas, Head of the ICT and Project Management Unit at the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), Government of India. Day One focused on the fundamentals of AI literacy and digital content creation. Participants explored major Generative AI platforms including ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity, alongside digital engagement and assessment tools such as Edpuzzle and Google Forms. Additionally, attendees learned structured prompt engineering techniques to generate discipline specific lesson plans, course outlines and assessment rubrics.
Day Two shifted toward advanced classroom methodologies, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and educational technology analytics. Prof. Srinivas guided participants through AI enabled flipped classroom models, personalized learning strategies and outcome-based assessments. The programme concluded with a participant feedback session and a vote of thanks delivered by the respective dignitaries, establishing a solid practical foundation for the remaining 30 days of online learning.
