Admission Requirement & Procedure
Eligiblity
(Class IX and HS 1st year)
For class IX Admission, Meritorious Student from Class VIII after the declaration of school result. This will be followed by a screening test which the candidates will have to qualify.
The School offers H.S. Science course prescribed by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council at the 10 + 2 level.
Admission in H.S. (Science) First Year in the School starts following the declaration of result of HSLC Examination of the Board of Secondary Education, Assam. The admission is given strictly as per the guidelines issued by the Department of Education, Govt. of Assam and the policies framed by the management of the college from time to time.
The students who have passed the HSLC under the Board of Secondary Education, Assam or its equivalent examinations are eligible for admission in H.S. 1st year class (min 1st Div. 75% in HSLC).
The eligible students have to apply in the prescribed form available at School office. Last date of submission of forms and date of admission will be notified separately. Students passing Std. X from CBSE and ICSE Boards will be considered at par with those who have passed the HSLC examination of the State Board. Reserve category (SC/ST/OBC) and physically disabled students must produce the original caste/category/disability certificate issued by the concerned authorities along with a photocopy of the same (attested by a self attested) with the application form. Students who passed the H.S. 1st year examination successfully will be admitted to the H.S. 2nd year.
Eligiblity
(B.A and B.Sc)
Criteria: The minimum qualification for admission into the following programmes shall be as follows:
Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Major: A student who has passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) of Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council or an equivalent examination as such recognized by the University with 50% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in the respective subject sought for major shall be eligible for admission into the First Semester of the Four Year Under Graduate Program in Arts.
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Major: A student who has passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) of Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council or an equivalent examination as such recognized by the University in Science stream with 50% marks in aggregate and 60% marks in the respective subject sought for major shall be eligible for admission into the First of Five Year Under Graduate Program in Science. Nevertheless, the criteria varies time to time based on university notification.
Admission Procedure
(Class IX and HS 1st year)
Application for admission in the School must be submitted in the prescribed form.
- The duly filled in application form has to be submitted at the college office as per the admission schedule published on the notice board.
- The list of provisionally selected students will be published on the college notice board. On the appointed date and time, the student and her parents must appear with original testimonials for interview. As a part of the admission procedure students have to attend the counseling session with their parents.

Application for admission in the college must be in the prescribed format.
Students who want to apply for different combinations must apply in separate application form.
Reserved category (SC/ST/OBC) students have to produce the original certificate of their caste/category issued by concerned authority and submit the photostat copy.
The duly filled in form has to be submitted at the college office as per the admission schedule notified.
Students will be provisionally selected for admission into the major programmes and a selection test will be conducted by the concerned department for final admission.
