Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science & Technology is blossoming forth as the finest flower in the garden of Ajmal Foundation. It has come to symbolize the unwavering commitment of the Ajmals’ towards social reconstruction through modern science education of superior quality on the one hand and their deep reverence of Ajmal Brothers to their beloved MOTHER, late Maryam Un-Nisa Ajmal, whose memory they wish to perpetuate empowering women to be participants in the rapidly changing scenario of scientific and technological revolution sweeping the world today on the other. Driven by the zeal to transform their native place Hojai from backward, nondescript town to a vibrant and flourishing centre of commercial, educational and cultural activities, the AJMALs’ cherished desire to set up a science college of very high standard exclusively for women is no doubt, an affirmation of the AJMALS’ commitment and accountability to the society. Now that the college has completed its 14 years of educational excellence, many students have passed through the portals of this institution with flying colours. Women are considered to be the backbone of the society. An educated woman can act as a catalyst in building a progressive family which can withstand any challenges of the present competitive world. In order to reach out to a larger section of women in the society, Ajmal Foundation seeded its first college for women- Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science & Technology, Hojai in the year 2006 and then in 2011, Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Arts, Hojai was established. The Maryam Ajmal Women’s College is a minority educational institution within section 2 (g) of the National Commission for Minority. The colleges also offer several scholarships and concessions for meritorious students in the region.
