Observation of National Science Day 2026 was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Maryam Ajmal Women’s College of Science & Technology, Hojai. Celebrated annually on February 28th to commemorate Sir C.V. Raman’s discovery of the Raman Effect, the day’s primary aim is to underscore the significance of science in daily life and foster a spirit of innovation and scientific temper.
Aligned with the national theme, “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat,” the event seeks to highlight the pivotal role of women in driving India’s development through science. The core objectives include honoring scientific contributions, promoting scientific thinking among students and bridging the gap between the scientific community and the public. Through project showcases and collaborative activities, the program aims to inspire young minds, particularly women, to pursue careers in science and technology, thereby contributing to a developed India.
